Betheny Conaway is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Before becoming a PMHNP, she spent more than a decade caring for children and adults as a registered nurse in emergency, outpatient, and specialty care settings. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet before beginning her nursing career. Years later, she became a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer. Together, these experiences continue to shape her approach to patient care, emphasizing the connection between movement, nutrition, physical health, and mental well-being.
She is dedicated to providing compassionate psychiatric care across the lifespan. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective mental health treatment and partners with each patient to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that integrate medication management with lifestyle strategies, including sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and psychotherapy-informed care when appropriate.
Committed to lifelong learning, she has a special interest in nutritional psychiatry, lifestyle medicine, and integrative mental health. She strives to create a welcoming, collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and understood.
